First I had adams 95 in my squad but you know he was not that WOW. So I went a bit cheaper and bought this man. But what a beast he is ingame. All of he won all arial battles and every game he had at least 15 interceptions, when you can't afford the real expensive cdm just by this man. He is so good and so nice to play with. I really hope he get some upgrades because that will make him even better. I used him as my holding midfielder in a 4-3-2-1 which is of course the best formation in the game. And when you think this is all bullshit just try him by yourself and you will see how good he is.

This card will go unnoticed by many within the community because he's not a big name like Van Dijk, Walker, Saliba, Araujo etc.. but I can safely say that this card is formatted perfectly to play the CB position within a meta team. He has bruiser and aerial, two key playstyle + for late game CB's, but most importantly, he has long ball +. I cannot emphasize how nice it is to have a CB with long ball. You can send your fullbacks on a run and smack the ball 50 yards straight to their feet behind the defense. The only playstyle this card is missing is intercept, however this is not really noticeable, or at least hasn't been in the 76 games (elite div) that I've used this card. Playstyles aside, take a look at the stats: With an anchor, Alvarez has nearly perfect pace, perfect defending, and perfect physicality. I would opt for an anchor rather than a shadow because you need max jumping to get the most out of aerial +, and you will not notice much of a difference between 95 and 99 sprint speed. MOST IMPORTANTLY, this card has 99 reactions and 96 composure! When I first used him, I was convinced that he had some sort of special sauce, similar to a Van Dijk or Ferland Mendy. He just wins the ball every time. Now that I really think about it, the 99 reactions and 96 composure are definitely what make this card elite.
