EA Sports FC 24 Hero Predictions

Heroes have only been in the game for the last two years but have been a welcome addition with many cards becoming Weekend League regulars; Al Owarain, Ginola, Yaya Toure etc. FIFA 23 saw an addition of 22 new Hero cards at launch and then introduced a 23rd (Ledley King) later in the year. As we mentioned with Icons there have been several rumours as to which players are coming to the game but no indication as to which card type they’ll receive.

Hero information is coming tonight so here are our very last minute predictions!

Adriano - Serie A

Shot Power. You only need to hear two words and you imagine the Brazilian striker. He spent the peak of his career in Serie A with Roma and Inter Milan and during his time in Italy, won 2 Serie A titles, 2 Coppa Italia’s and 2 Supercoppa Italiana’s. We’d love to have given Adriano an Icon card but he unfortunately retired early after rupturing his achilles in 2011 after playing just 11 matches in his final 6 years of his career.

Carlos Tevez - Premier League

Loved on one side of Manchester, hated on the other. Carlos Tevez looks set for a return to EA Sports FC with what we’re guessing will be a hero card. He spent 2 years on loan at Manchester United before moving directly to Manchester City where he would spend the next 4 years, winning a Premier League and an FA Cup, the clubs first trophy in 35 years. He ended his career in Argentina with boyhood club Boca Juniors.

Wesley Sneidjer - Serie A

An 18 month year spell of Sneidjer’s career between 2009-10 would have been an insane achievement for most footballers throughout their entire career, yet he did it in just 2. The 2009/10 season saw his side Inter Milan take home every single trophy possible including the UEFA Champions League where he was the top assist maker in the competition. Just 6 weeks later he lined up in a World Cup final to unfortunately lose out to Spain. 2010 ended with him being awarded the UEFA midfielder of the year and a place in the FIFPRO World XI.

Daniele De Rossi - Serie A

Daniele De Rossi was 5 games away from becoming a one club man with Roma but decided to round off his career with half a season in Argentina with Boca Juniors. He may have only made 5 appearances for Boca but that was enough to land him his only ever league title after just winning cups at Roma. He took over Roma captaincy after Francesco Totti left and became only the second player after Totti to make over 600 appearances for Roma.

John Arne Riise - Premier League

Riise may have been a left back but he was remembered more for the power he could put behind his shots. In fact his shot was so powerful that it actually broke Alan Smith's leg in an FA Cup match when Liverpool faced Manchester United. He spent the majority of his career in England with 7 years at Liverpool and a further 3 with Fulham later in his career. He won almost everything there was to win at Anfield apart from the Premier League trophy although he did win a top division title in both France and Cyprus.

Blaise Matuidi - Ligue 1

The French midfielder only retired at the end of 2022 and has only been out of FIFA for one year but we’d love to see him back as a hero to kick off EA FC 24. Matuidi’s career was glittered with silverware as he won countless league titles and cups whilst at PSG, 3 more league titles at Juventus. But most importantly he was part of the France team that took home the World Cup in 2018 which meant his name featured in the greatest World Cup song of all time - Ramenez La Coupe A La Maison.

Dimitar Berbatov - Bundesliga

A man so talented that he has a skill move named after him. It’ll be a travesty if we see Berba back but without 5* skill moves. He was part of the last Tottenham Hotspur team to win a trophy, lifting the League Cup back in 2008. Dimitar then moved to Manchester United where he would win two Premier League titles and the only league titles of his career, before moving to Fulham, Monaco, PAOK and Kerala Blasters where he retired in 2018.

Shunsuke Nakamura - SPFL

Nakamura might just be the greatest free kick taker we’ve ever seen. He holds the record for most J-League free kicks scored but it wasn’t just Japan who were privileged enough to see them. Nakamura spent 4 years at Celtic where he scored 34 goals and was adored by the fans. The most memorable of those goals, a free kick in the Champions League against Manchester United.

Ramires - Premier League

If he’s to come back then Ramires will be welcomed back to FIFA with open arms by the community and for good reason too. Football fans will remember the Brazilian for his audacious chip at Camp Nou to send Chelsea on their way to the Champions League final, but FIFA players remember him as one of the sweatiest cards in the game. If you faced a Premier League team between FIFA 12 and 16 there was a good chance that Ramires would be there and I can’t see it being any different if he returns next year.

Arda Turan - La Liga

Arda Turan was one of Turkey’s most exciting players and not only broke the Turkish record transfer fee once, but twice. Once moving to Atletico Madrid where he arguably hit the peak of his career, and then leaving Atleti to join Barcelona. His Atletico team came so close to greatness in 2014 but just fell short, losing the Champions League final to city rivals Real Madrid. He was successful in both La Liga and the Super Lig but we’ve chosen La Liga as his Hero league.

Before predicting heroes we obviously had to have a look at who we thought may be coming as an Icon in FC 24, check out our Icon predictions here!

Are there any heroes you think we missed out? Who would you like to see come as a hero in EA FC 24?
