FC 24 Golazo Didier Drogba Player Review

It's been a long time since I've reviewed a card which actually hits the market but this opportunity to try out 94-rated Golazo Drogba was given to me and I'm so pretty glad I got a chance to use this card given how it ended up performing. 

I tried out Cantona before using Drogba and you can check out that review by clicking here, but I'll tell you now this Drogba item is levels above that of Cantona and it's half the price.

In the previous review I spoke about the selection we've been given in Golazo team 2 and on first glance Drogba is one of the stand out items even though he isn't one of the most expensive. 

Winter Wildcards Drogba when it first came out was a pretty effective item but I'll tell you right now that this Golazo version is LEVELS above. The +10's in agility and balance are well received as are the additional playstyles. 

Didier led the line in this 4231 squad, the focal point of the attack. I have no doubts he could work in a 2 striker formation but he is more than capable of doing all by himself as well. 

He absolutely dominated in champs, in his first 5 games he'd managed 12 goals and also got 2 direct assists.

When I first looked at the card my initial thoughts were probably engine but the more I looked into it the more the basic chemstyle made sense, we are getting to that point in the game where items have such high in-game stats that basic is a very appealing option.

Normally this is where I'd discuss SBC's but since he's on the market all I can tell you is at the time of recording he's around the 600,000 coin mark.

How did he perform in-game?

+ Shooting, WOW. Seriously Wow, what a finisher, elite level. Head, left foot, right foot, It does not matter. Incredible shot power and accuracy whether off the left or right foot. - Please do check out the clips.

+ Heading, again, WOW. Wins pretty much every aerial battle and is capable of not just winning the ball but sending it into the back of the net with ease.

+ Positioning, he made some brilliant runs for me and knew exactly where to put himself when I was getting down the wing.

+ Physicals, I've already mentioned in the air he is a beast but I also need to mention the general strength which impressed a lot, his ability to not just hold off those would-be defenders but make it look easy by skipping past them.

/ Passing, his hold up play is fantastic due to the previously mentioned physicals but his output following although can be great isn't always consistent.

This isn't an item with a standout negative but it's certainly not a card I expect everyone to love, If you can play to this item's strengths it will be incredible for you, but if you can only play the game a certain way then I can understand why you wouldn't be as keen on the item.

Golazo Drogba - Cop or Flop?

Well it's not an SBC but if you can afford to I'd definitely recommend giving this card a go, I've mentioned in reviews before how rare it is to find cards that are not just effective in the game but also fun to use...Drogba is that, he is HIM. If you're good with crosses you will LOVE this card.
