FC 24 Team of The Week 30 Predictions

With two sets of fixtures being played in the Premier League it comes as no surprise to see them dominate a star-led TOTW 30. Headlining we have hat tricks from both Cole Palmer and Phil Foden while KDB also showed his level is still right up there.

Radoslaw Majecki - GK - 70 > 85 OVR

Seven saves and clean sheet  /  Monaco 1 - Rennes 0  /  8 L’equipe Rating

There were only a couple of stand-out candidates from Ligue 1 this week so I would expect both to be included in this side. The first comes from a cagey affair between both Monaco and Rennes. Both sides saw themselves reduced to ten men with a single goal separating the two. It was goalkeeper, Majecki, who stood out making several key saves throughout.

Federico Gatti - CB - 76 > 88 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Juventus 1 - Fiorentina 0  /  7 Gazzetta Rating

There were a couple of defensive options from the Serie A this week the first of which was Gatti. The Italian looks set to receive his SIF after scoring the only goal of the game as Juventus battled their way to a 1-0 win over Fiorentina.

Gianluca Mancini - CB - 83 > 87 OVR

Goal and clean sheet  /  Roma 1 - Lazio 0  /  7 Gazzetta Rating

Roma sent out a statement with a 1-0 win over Lazio, putting them in a strong position for European football while putting a dagger into Lazio's hopes. Mancini scored the only goal of the game and went on to be awarded MOTM, making the Italian a straightforward selection for this side.

Micky Van de Ven - CB - 78 > 87 OVR

One goal  /  Tottenham 3 - Nottingham Forest 1  /  8 Sky Rating

This potential IF would go down a treat with Van de Ven potentially becoming a phenomenal card. Struggling with injury for large parts of his debut season with Tottenham it’s great to see the Dutchman back and performing well. He was named MOTM this weekend during a 3-1 home win for Spurs. A result which saw them enter the top 4.

Romain Del Castillo - RM - 73 > 88 OVR

Two assists  /  Brest 4 - Metz 3  /  8 L’equipe Rating

A seven-goal thriller brings our next Ligue 1 prediction and while Del Castillo wasn’t among the goals the Frenchman did provide two assists. That was enough for him to receive MOTM from L’equipe making him one of only two players to receive an 8/10 this week.

Phil Foden - CAM - 85 > 90 OVR

Hat trick  /  Man City 4 - Aston Villa 1  /  10 Sky Rating

Foden has to be one of the most IF players in world football right now. The Englishman scored three times during City’s convincing 4-1 home win over high-flying Aston Villa. His performance in the central role has led to shouts for Foden to be played in that role for England. While this would be his fourth IF, his third coming just five weeks ago, you can’t ignore this performance.

Morgan Gibbs-White - CAM - 77 > 87 OVR

One goal, one assist  /  Nottingham Forest 3 - Fulham 1  /  9 Sky Rating

The relegation battle looks set to be extremely tight between both Forest and Luton with the pairing both sitting on 25 points with seven and six games to go retrospectively. Morgan Gibbs-White helped carry Forest to three points on Tuesday as his goal and assist helped them towards a vital three points.

Cole Palmer - RM - 66 > 87 OVR

Hat trick  /  Chelsea 4 - Manchester United 3  /  9 Sky Rating

In a game full of twists and turns, Chelsea came out on top in dramatic fashion. Chelsea managed to take an early two-goal lead but it was then Manchester United who battled their way to a 3-2 lead. All that effort was thrown away late on with Palmer scoring both his second and third goals of the match during the 100th and 101st minutes of the match. Recording the latest-ever winner in the PL and securing Chelsea’s three points.

Kevin De Bruyne - CM - 91 > 92 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  Palace 2 - Manchester City 4  /  9 Sky Rating

While two players from the same club has yet to happen this season these circumstances deserve an exception. While Foden was the hero during midweek, come the weekend it was the KDB show. The Belgian showed why he is among the best in the world, scoring twice and assisting another as City continue their title push.

Ollie Watkins - ST - 80 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Aston Villa 3 - Brentford 3  /  9 Sky Rating

Another two goals added to Watkins’s seasonal tally takes the striker to eighteen for the season. Which when you consider he has also managed ten assists is crazy. Regularly snubbed for an IF could this finally be the time Watkins secures his elusive SIF.

Lois Openda - ST - 82 > 87 OVR

Two goals, two assists  /  Freiburg 1 - Leipzig 4  /  1.5 Kicker Rating

Openda has been snubbed time and time again when it comes to TOTW but the Belgian simply cannot be ignored this time around. Having been involved in all four Leipzig goals Openda received POTW from Kicker and with Dortmund slipping up they entered the top four as a result.

Geny Catamo - RWB - 68 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Sporting 2 - Benfica 1  /  9.5 Sofascore Rating

This match was always going to have big implications on the title race and it was Sporting Lisbon who ended up taking all three points and the advantage in the title race. Those three points came via a double from youngster, Catamo. The Mozambique international scored in both the first and last minute of the match to help secure the 2-1 win.

Jess Fishlock - CM - 84 > 87 OVR

Two goals  /  Wales (W) 4 - Croatia (W) 0

Wales got their qualifying campaign off to the perfect start, recording a comfortable 4-0 home win over Croatia. Fishlock pulled the strings from the middle of the park as she provided two goals to be named WOTM.

Athenea del Castillo - RW - 81 > 86 OVR

Three assists  /  Belgium (W) 0 - Spain (W) 7

Another strong performance from the Spanish national side saw them record a 7-0 away win during European qualification. Parlleulo would have been the first choice but with a recent IF to her name I am instead opting for Athenea del Castillo who provided three assists from the wing.

Jae Sung Lee - CAM - 78 > 87 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  Mainz 4 - Darmstadt 0  /  1.5 Kicker Rating

This is a result which could have a huge say in the relegation battle. Mainz dominated throughout with Jae Sung Lee’s three-goal contribution performance helping guide them towards the convincing 4-0 home victory. The German side are now just three points away from safety, currently sitting in the relegation play-off position.

Yankuba Minteh - RW - 65 > 85 OVR

Two goals, one assist  /  Feyenoord 6 -  Ajax 0  /  9 VI Rating

It’s been a difficult season for Ajax but this takes it to another level. Feyenoord embarrassed the iconic Dutch side, scoring six without reply. The young Gambian, Minteh, ran the show from start to finish with his two goals and one assist seeing VI dish out a rare 9/10.

Daniel Birligea - ST - 65 > 85 OVR

Hat trick  /  Rapid Bucuresti 1 - Cluj 4  /  9.4 Sofascore Rating

I am not convinced that Cluj can definitely receive IF’s with none going to the Romanian division thus far. With one promotional inclusion, I am willing to take the punt though. Birligea scored three times as Cluj recorded a convincing away win making him the only non-gold hat trick of the week.

Tim Kleindienst - ST - 75 > 85 OVR

Two goals  /  Heidenheim 3 - Munich 2  /  1.5 Kicker Rating

Leverkusen are now just four points away from securing the Bundesliga title with six games remaining. That is after yet another Munich loss occurred on Saturday. Despite being 2-0 up against midtable Heidenheim Bayern came away with no points. A brace from Kleindienst spearheaded the comeback and with limited hat tricks, I would be very surprised if he failed to make the side.
