Good value, I use him as RB. Sometimes switch to CM/CDM depending on formation in game. As an RB, he scores a lot of overhead kicks on corners for me.

Still my fav at LM position.

Packed him from a free pack a few days ago (just before the upgrade) but - and I'm almost afraid to admint it - I can't get him to work. I tried LM/LW and CM but he just isn't that for me. Feels slow, passing isn't on point and very weak shooting from outside the box. Could be just me though...

Got lucky to pack him, tried him as CAM and he works really well. Was still rocking Guti but this guy might replace him. Crazy speed boost and silky on the ball, even with this heavy gameplay.

I like her. Tiny and fast, very fast. Started her as LB and she can hold her own. Fast enough to catch anyone but body type gets bullied by the bigger players. Moved her up to LM/LW and she really cooks there. Silky dribbling with the occasional goal.

How is his plain 82 so good? Got ripped a new one by someone. So fast, so agile. Wondering if that'll last...

I use him as CM in a 4411 and he's been in my team for ages. The upgraded pace and dribbling only make him that much better. I don't thing he's ever leaving. Him paired up with Gutti at CAM is lethal. My Gutti scores more from through balls than my ST.

I sometimes switch him but ha's always back after a game or two. The 99 passing combined with ping is just too good. No wonder his assist rate is through the roof

Did the doublet birthday EVO and he's crazy on the wing. So fast and agile and the shooting upgrade is very noticable. CAM addition is nice too, good runs in the box.

I personally don't like playmaker++ on a CAM, or at least not on my 4411 with only one CAM. Shadow striker combined with a flase 9 is much more powerful for me. Better AI runs in the box. With playmaker++ he just reverts to a plain CM in my case.

Absolutely cooks as left winger. Speed and dribbling is very good. Used a finisher and he's pretty clinical up in front, both long and short distance.

Mid game I usaully switch to 4-2-4 where Nwaneri then pulls inside as more of a CM/CAM en then I sub on Neto. For now Neto is still the better dribbler for me.

Not quite ready as an 88 to replace Neto, but he's good though. Added the rapid+ already before the upgrade and that's really noticable now though.

Packed him untradable. Solid up front for me as lone striker. Manages to sneakily find his way through the defense on AI runs and hardly misses. Misses more clear goals than some weird angle distance shots. Speed boost via R1 is very noticable but don't go running with him from the center line. Most defenders will catch up right before the final 16.

Going to have to come back on a previous comment. After the newest patch this has card has improved a lot. Playing him as sole CAM in an 4411 and he's amazing. Great runs in behind, amazing passing. Welcome back to the squad I guess.

Sadly did the Palmer SBC before this guy came from a free pack. First as sub but now as first team and way ahead of Palmer. Clinical finisher and makes great runs.

No brainer at this price. Good quality SBC from EA. Doesn't happen too often.

I play the formation with 3 CAMs in which one stays a bit further back down the center. Used a lot of players there, but this Scholes really matches my playstyle. Does some basic defensive work if needed, but his passes are really something. Got two fast CAMs on the outside and those through passes down the middle are always perfect in terms of speed and lenghts for those outer players to curl them past the keeper. Top choice for me, even more so with this pricing.

Pretty complicated and I'm not going to end up with that many tokens. I was fairly OK in champs last year and years before but since the new system this year I've only been able to qualify for one weekend and those games were near impossible for me as a casual.

Been using her gold card since the start. Guess it's time to upgrade.

Damn, she's good. Too bad I slept on her up untill now. Very rapid due to playstyle+ and finishes everything. The 88 physique is also noticable and unlike other female cards, it actually seems to be correct. She can hold of a defender or control a cross without being bullied off the ball.

Managed to finally get out from under the sweaty players of DIV4 and into DIV3 thanks to this guy. Haven't had issues with his shooting at all. WF is sometimes an issue but if it's on his left, it's a sure goal. Great positioning for crossing too.

I like him, especially for this price. He's great as a CM (I use Marksman). Intercepts a lot, good stamina and has very lenghty strides. Usually play with 3 defenders but sometimes switch to 4 ingame and he's very solid as a CB as well.

I'm more for the controlled playstyle, but that's just my way of playing. I find that explosive is fine one the short run or one on one with dribbling but I'm no dribbling. More into the passing game and controlled just feels better then.

Marksman is the way to go my brothers and sisters. Give him some leeway and a through ball from around 3/4 of the pitch and no defender is catching up. Lenghty still very much alive with him.

I've had Lahm and Peredes as CDM but this guy is still better. Long strides make him really fast on the ball. Only Brozovic is equal to him for me.

Play him on the wing, pass him the ball to the side (corner) of the box and do a power shot. Never misses for me.

Also; 99 power on free kicks. Done three so far and all three went clean in.

Throw him on in 60th minute and watch the magic happen.

Upgraded from Ljungberg with him as LM. Engine works best for me there. He's not as explosive as Ljungberg in running down the line, but his finesse shots are amazing. Also top tier for corners and free kicks just outside the box. My score ratio on both really went up since using him. Ingame switch to a formation where he is LCAM also works really well. Have not tried him as pure ST yet.

I sometimes switch him on my starting squad, but always come back to him. As starter on 3 chem he's unbeatable. In the first 45, he can outrun anyone and he can keep the ball. Don't pass with him, just play him the ball and once you're near the box; let it rip.

Should I do him and replace WCH Ljungberg? I can add him at 3 chem.

Got him at 90K (only one) but he fits my team so well that I doubt I'll sell him. Maybe if price would really skyrocket. But with the speed that EA works, he'll probably get update after the semi-final...

Packed him the Hero pack, first decent catch from an sbc pack this year. Very fast on the ball and good finishing. Currently using hunter, but might try finisher.

Other way around for me. He feels very slow, with bad acceleration. Can hardly pass someone down the side. Can't complain about shooting though. Has scored some bangers.

I feel the same. It's hard to explain, but the card just delivers. Doesn't feel special in any way, but he scores his goals so that's good I guess.

I got lucky with Ben Yedder in red picks but I honestly hardly use him. To me he doesn't feel fast enough to get past defenders just on speed. But that's probably due to my playstyle. I hardly ever do through ball runs, but rely on stronger forwards that can attain the ball. So yeah, tall and clunky I suppose, allthough Immoble doesn't feel clunky at all for me.

Yeah, Immobile works wonders for me. My type of player. Much more so than for example TOTS Ben Yedder. Can't get him to work for the life of me

Keepers in Fifa always seem weird. I've been sporting gold Courtois for about 400 games and he's absolutely brilliant for me, while I read enough comments saying he's a turd. So at this point, I'm afraid of swapping him out, with the possibility of breaking him :D

Nice review. Always read these, but first time actually commenting on it. I too have always fallen for the META players in the past and early on in Fifa21. But lately I've been switching to cards I actually want to try/play. Did icon Jay-Jay for instance and he's a blast to use, although far from META.Rivals and especially WL can't really peak my interest anymore either. I find myself having more fun with the managerial masterpiece games these days where it's often more about playing the actual game than about have speed up front.

First Icon I ever went for and what a gamechanger it was, especially in WL. Just checked my stats and turns out I've played him for 99 games, resulting in a whopping 185 goals scored.
