I'm a manual defender too, but with 97 def he has the same animations and covering position of his gold card. i've just switched ingame with my Varane and felt like I've added something effectively working.

Do you know why FC 25 sucks? Because there's no freedom. It's just a constant search for meta and the most broken cards possible. You can follow the philosophy of playing only with players you like, but if you do, the game will destroy your brain piece by piece. And I'm sorry to tell you an inconvenient truth, but if your account wasn't chosen by EA to go 15-0 in every WL, there's no way you can improve. This is the only game in the world where you can't improve. The only thing you can do is waste time, which is the most important thing. Don't play this ****. You only **** once.

sadly on this game only bodytipe and IA really matters, any evo vvd or varane or stam or araujo or saliba or rudiger will completely outshine him, and thats it, you can't do anything.
