im in div 2 atm and got 11 wins but squad battles feels completely scripted as if I have no control over what my players do

Maybe skill isssue but is it just me who find squad battles impossible this year, whenever it's above world class, the ai all have 99 pace shooting free kicks, every corner rebounds to a goal, and my players will be missing green timed shots from the 5 yard box
