FC 25 NWSL Team of The Season Predictions

One of the weakest overall squads you are likely to see during the TOTS period comes from the NWSL. That said, there are a few standout options, including Smith, Rodman and Marta. Orlando should feature heavily after winning the title and breaking numerous records along the way.

Anna Moorhouse  - GK - 73 > 91 OVR

It would be easy to go with Berger for the goalkeeping position, but in truth, it should be Moorhouse receiving the accolade. With a league-high fourteen clean sheets alongside the second-highest save total with an impressive 96, it makes no sense to opt for Berger simply due to her TOTY inclusion.

Casey Krueger - LB - 77 > 91 OVR

At 34 years of age, Krueger knows her way around the NWSL. She was dominant down the left-hand side for Washington once again, helping lead them to a second-place finish. With just 28 goals conceded, they recorded the third-best defensive record in the division, while Krueger also chipped in with a goal and three assists.

Emily Sams - CB - 70 > 92 OVR

Emily Sams was involved in all thirteen of Orlando's clean sheets, helping set a new league record for the most consecutive minutes without conceding, at 554 minutes. While some of her performances have been at right-back, the majority have been centrally, so I expect her TOTS to reflect that. The defenders for this side were difficult to select, but Sams stands out for so many reasons.

Kerry Abello - LB - 74 > 90 OVR

Orlando broke record after record this year. After starting the season with a twenty-three-game unbeaten streak (also a record), they were undoubtedly the best side in the division. Their defence was the strongest in the league, and Abello played a major role in that success.

Vanessa DiBernardo - CM - 82 > 91 OVR

DiBernardo impressed at both ends of the pitch this season, with six goals and six assists marking her most prolific campaign to date. She didn’t shy away from defensive duties either, making 25 tackles and producing 28 interceptions. Kansas were a difficult side to beat this year, losing just three matches before the play-offs, with DiBernardo standing out as one of their key performers.

Trinity Rodman - RM - 84 > 93 OVR

While the second half of the season was rather underwhelming, I would be surprised if Rodman misses out on this side entirely. Whether her inclusion comes as an outright TOTS or as a moments card, Rodman will likely feature in EA’s selection. I lean towards the latter. With eight goals and six assists, she remains a serious threat when at her best.

Croix Bethune - CAM - 74 > 92 OVR

Bethune was named Rookie of the Month three times this year, showcasing how consistently impressive she has been throughout the season. She tied the regular-season assist record, which had stood since 2016. While this may be yet another low-rated base card, it’s hard to overlook players who truly deserve a TOTS inclusion.

Marta - CAM - 84 > 94 OVR

Despite now being 39 years of age, Marta is still doing a superb job for her club, Orlando. The Brazilian was influential throughout the campaign, scoring eleven goals. How many more seasons she has left remains to be seen, but based on her current performance levels, there is no indication of her slowing down just yet.

Temwa Chawinga - LW - 77 > 93 OVR

Chawinga recorded a ludicrous twenty-one goals to claim the Golden Boot in the NWSL, remarkably doing so while playing the majority of her matches from the left-hand side. Consistency was key for Chawinga, who scored in most of Kansas’ matches. With six assists also to her name, the winger contributed to over a goal per game on average.

Sophia Wilson - ST - 89 > 98 OVR

One of the most familiar faces in the women’s game due to her EA popularity over the past couple of seasons is Wilson (Smith). Her extremely usable cards have been a fan favourite and another looks set to be on the way. With a TOTY inclusion already secured and twelve goals alongside six assists her place in the squad is all but guaranteed.

Barbra Banda - ST - 77 > 94 OVR

Banda was the first name in this squad, with her performances for title-winning Orlando standing out in particular. With seventeen goals and seven assists, the pacey forward caused constant problems for defences. Having already picked up a couple of In-Forms and a TOTY Honourable Mention this game, her inclusion in this side is inevitable.

Rose Lavelle - CM - 87 > 93 OVR

Ending the prediction with another moments card in Lavelle. The Gotham midfielder recorded eight goals, primarily from central or attacking midfield, which on numbers alone could justify a spot. However, given the performances of other players in the division, a moments card feels more realistic. With Lavelle being a high-rated base card, there’s added motivation for EA to include her in the side.
