Our first confirmed stats for EA Sports FC are here, in the form of UCL/UWCL hero cards! These players and ratings were announced a couple of weeks ago and we can finally see their card stats. There are some incredible new additions to the game including 3 new members of the Gullit Gang! Who are you looking forward to using?

Confirmed EA Sports FC 24 Heroes

Alex Scott - Women's Super League

We had Alex Scott in our Icon predictions for next year but knowing that Champions League Heroes will be celebrated in EA FC, it’s no surprise the former Arsenal captain is coming as a UWCL Hero. Alex won 5 Premier League titles with Arsenal as they dominated Women’s football. She was integral to Arsenal side who not only won these Premier League trophies, but also the quadruple in the 06/07 season which included the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Gianluca Vialli - Serie A

Vialli was regarded as one of Italy’s greatest and most consistent strikers, he could play anywhere across the front three and even drop deep when needed so be expecting some fun alternate positions next year! He spent the majority of his career in Italy with Juventus, Cremonese and Sampdoria playing over 400 times in the league. After retirement Gianluca briefly went into management with Watford and Chelsea before returning to football as Roberto Mancini’s assistant as Italy won Euro 2021.

Carlos Tevez - Premier League

Loved on one side of Manchester, hated on the other. Carlos Tevez looks set for a return to EA Sports FC with what we’re guessing will be a hero card. He spent 2 years on loan at Manchester United before moving directly to Manchester City where he would spend the next 4 years, winning a Premier League and an FA Cup, the clubs first trophy in 35 years. He ended his career in Argentina with boyhood club Boca Juniors. Carlos featured in our Hero predictions earlier this week and he’s not the only player we correctly predicted!

Wesley Sneidjer - Serie A

An 18 month year spell of Sneidjer’s career between 2009-10 would have been an insane achievement for most footballers throughout their entire career, yet he did it in just 2. The 2009/10 season saw his side Inter Milan take home every single trophy possible including the UEFA Champions League where he was the top assist maker in the competition. Just 6 weeks later he lined up in a World Cup final to unfortunately lose out to Spain. 2010 ended with him being awarded the UEFA midfielder of the year and a place in the FIFPRO World XI. Wes is the second hero we’ve already predicted correctly, hopefully there’s more to come when more are revealed!

Bixente Lizarazu - Bundesliga

Lizarazu’s position may be a left back but he was much more than that. He commanded the entire left hand side across multiple leagues before eventually becoming the best left back in the world. During his time in Munich the Frenchman won 6 league titles, 5 DFB Pokals and a UEFA Champions League. He left Bayern Munich for a brief spell in 2004 before returning and choosing an obscure squad number. Lizarazu wore the shirt number 69; he said this was because he was born in 1969, his height is 1.69 m and he weighed 69 kg, what a coincidence.

John Arne Riise - Premier League

Riise may have been a left back but he was remembered more for the power he could put behind his shots. In fact his shot was so powerful that it actually broke Alan Smith's leg in an FA Cup match when Liverpool faced Manchester United. He spent the majority of his career in England with 7 years at Liverpool and a further 3 with Fulham later in his career. He won almost everything there was to win at Anfield apart from the Premier League trophy although he did win a top division title in both France and Cyprus.

Kanu - Eredivisie

Kanu may be more well known for his time in England but he did spend 3 years at Ajax which is where he won the Champions League. The Nigerian striker made a substitute appearance as the Dutch giants took down AC Milan. After leaving Ajax he had a brief spell with Inter Milan before moving to England where he’d spend the next 13 years of his career and eventually retire.

Tomas Rosicky - Bundesliga

In 2001 Rosicky moved to Borussia Dortmund for £8m which made him the most expensive Bundesliga player at the time. In his first season in Germany Rosicky helped Dortmund to the Bundesliga title, scoring 5 goals from midfield. After 5 years in Germany he made the switch to England and joined Arsenal in North London. Tomas spend 10 years with The Gunners but unfortunately most of the time was spent injured and only managed 247 appearances across the decade.

Ludovic Guily - La Liga

In a 22 years career Ludovic Guily only spent 4 years outside of France but his time in Spain is where he earnt this UCL Hero. His Barcelona team won the Champions League for only the second time in the 2005/06 season as they beat 10 man Arsenal in the final. Guily scored the winning goal in the semi-final and even had a goal disallowed in the final, which FIFA President Sepp Blatter later said should have stood. Luckily the Catalan club still went on to lift the trophy. His time in Barcelona ended the following year after losing his starting spot to a certain Argentine who went on to have a pretty decent career.

Nadine Keßler - Bundesliga Femenia

Nadine Keßler was at one point the best footballer in the world, she took home FIFA World Player of the Year back in 2014 after leading Wolfsburg to another Champions League title. This was actually her 2nd time winning with Wolfsburg as they actually won the UWCL back to back! Remarkably these weren’t even her first Champions League success, during her time with FFF Turbine Postdam she also won the trophy.

Dimitar Berbatov - Bundesliga

A man so talented that he has a skill move named after him. It’ll be a travesty if we see Berba back but without 5* skill moves. He was part of the last Tottenham Hotspur team to win a trophy, lifting the League Cup back in 2008. Dimitar then moved to Manchester United where he would win two Premier League titles and the only league titles of his career, before moving to Fulham, Monaco, PAOK and Kerala Blasters where he retired in 2018.

Ramires - Premier League

Ramires will be welcomed back to FIFA with open arms by the community and for good reason too. Football fans will remember the Brazilian for his audacious chip at Camp Nou to send Chelsea on their way to the Champions League final, but FIFA players remember him as one of the sweatiest cards in the game. If you faced a Premier League team between FIFA 12 and 16 there was a good chance that Ramires would be there and I can’t see it being any different when he returns next year.

Vincent Kompany - Belgium

Vincent Kompany may have retired from football but he’s still winning trophies as a manager. The Belgian led Burnley to 101 points in The Championship and returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking. He was part of the Manchester City team that dominated English football during the 2010’s, captaining the side to 4 league titles. Both him and Aguero were inducted into the PL Hall of Fame in 2022, joining Icons like Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Alan Shearer.

Jari Litmanen - Eredivisie

Good news for those Icon pack gamblers out there, Jari Litmanen will no longer be in your packs! He’s been switched from Icon to Hero for FC 24 and just like Kanu who we mentioned earlier, his UCL Hero is celebrating the Ajax success of 1995. The Finnish Midfielder scored 6 goals on the way to Ajax lifting the trophy and finished 3rd in the Ballon D’or at the end of the year.

Rui Costa - Serie A

Another FIFA 23 Icon that’s been switched to a Hero and this time it’s Rui Costa. The Portuguese midfielder spent most of his career in Serie A with Fiorentina and AC Milan, it was in Milan where he found European glory. He won the Champions League with AC Milan in 2003 and came so close again in 2005 but unfortunately the Italians blew a 3-0 first half lead to Liverpool who went on to win on penalties.

Paulo Futre - Liga Portugal

Those who are newer to FUT may not remember Paulo Futre but he was actually one of the original Legends back in FIFA 14 but was cut from the list at the end of FIFA 17. 1987 was arguably the best year of Futre’s career, he was part of the Porto team who won the Champions League (then called the European Cup) and also finished 2nd in the Ballon D’or rankings only behind Ruud Gullit.

Steve Mcmanaman - La Liga

The Englishman spent the majority of his career with Liverpool but it was in Madrid where he found the most success. Mcmanaman may have only spent 4 years at Real Madrid but that was enough for him to take home 2 La Ligas and 2 Champions League trophies, in 2000 and 2002. We now know him for his commentary on UCL nights but he was a tricky attacking player that might find his way into our Weekend League teams next year!

DaMarcus Beasley - Eredivisie

Eredivisie teams look stacked for FC 24 and we’ve only had 19 official cards so far! Beasley joins Kanu and Litmanen as an Eredivisie Heroes for FC 24 but unlike those two, he didn’t play for Ajax but for PSV. There was no Champions League glory for PSV in terms of a trophy but they did make it to the semifinals and Beasly became the first American to play in that stage of the competition.

Sonia Bompastor - Division 1 Feminine

Bompastor was a left sided midfielder who could also drop in to left back when needed so expect to see some nice alternate positions if those are still in FC 24! Sonia has gotten used to winning the Champions League trophy as she not only won it twice as a player with Lyon but started her managerial career with the French side and won the trophy again in 2022.

These are the all of the new confirmed Heroes for EA Sports FC 24, which are you most looking forward to using?
