DeanWell, this doesn't seem like a well-timed SBC given Jamaica's performance in Copa America...
Today's content is/was Marquee Matchups and this Copa America Make Your Mark Plus Demarai Gray SBC.
The past few days of content haven't been anything special so I'm really hoping Friday's promo brings some excitement!

Gray went into the LM role of my 4231 with Darwin, Darwin Nunez up top as someone to aim for, I started him off using just the basic chemistry but switched him to a hawk mid-way through the review, It' helped...a little.
There is only one SBC to complete for this item the requirements are as follows:
# of players from Premier League: Min 1
TOTS or TOTW: Min 1
Squad Rating: Min 84
So the overall cost is just 50,000 coins, which isn't awful but the bulk of that cost is with the TOTW/TOTS requirement which I really wish at this point would be removed, I'd rather it was just a higher-rated squad.
How did he perform in-game?
+ Finesse Shots, Finesse+ was on full display with Gray, he is excellent at whipping in finesses into the top corner and he scored a really impressive one using his weaker foot for me.
+ Pace, It'll come as no surprise since he has 97 pace but yes, he is quick in game and with his acceleration matching his sprint speed he feels very quick off the mark too!
+ 5* Skills.
After those 3 'notable' positives there are just bits that he's 'good' at, not 'great' at, which at this stage of the game is the difference between good items and high-level items, Gray's crossing for example is fine... but it doesn't stand out (Probably due to lacking the whipped pass playstyle) but you get the idea, His passing as a whole was the same it's good but not elite.
- Again at this stage of Ultimate Team items rarely come with notable positives but something that kind of was annoying with this item for me was at times he was just slow to perform an action, especially when passing he seems slow to react to actually perform said pass.
Demarai Gray - Cop or Flop?
Look he's 50,000 coins so he isn't awful value by any means but I just can't recommend doing this SBC when we're getting items like this released every other day and there are so many good wide options already in the game and they really don't cost much now either, If there was a chance of the item getting the upgrades then I wouldn't be against the SBC but since they've exited the tournament this item isn't getting better and thus isn't worth doing unless you're a fan of the player.
Verdict = Flop.
