The Group Stage of Euro 2024 is almost over and with it not only comes some huge upsets, but also some huge upgrades! Plenty of upgrades have already been unlocked with some Icons and Heroes already completing their entire upgrade path!

We’ve got all sorts of upgrades to cover; Path to Glory, Greats of the Game, Make Your Mark and Showdowns. There have been 28 Path to Glory Upgrades, 6 Make Your Mark Upgrades (excluding +Chem) and every single European Greats of The Game card has been upgraded!

Group A

Germany - Ballack (+1 and +1 PS+), Füllkrug and Undav (+1), Groß and Mittelstadt (+Chemistry)

Hungary - Puskas and Szalai (+1)

Scotland - Dalglish (+1), McTominay (+Chemistry)

Switzerland - Ndoye (+1)

It’s no surprise that the hosts Germany topped Group A but they did miss out 3 wins from 3 meaning they’ll have to wait to beat Denmark for PTG cards to earn that extra PS+. All Icons secured at least a +1 with Hungary leaving it extremely late, scoring their 2nd goal of the tournament in the 100th minute against Scotland in the final match. Just grind your way to Level 35 and unlock a 98 rated Puskas for no cost aside from time! Unfortunately no further progression for Hungary after that late drama!

Group B

Spain - Capdevilla, Pedri and Olmo (+1 OVR and PS+), Le Normand (+Chemistry and +1), Williams (+Chemistry)

Italy - Di Natale, Chiesa and Vicario (+1), Dimarco (+Chemistry)

Croatia - Suker (+1), Sosa (+Chemistry)

Spain are the only team that have ended the Group Stage with a 100% record, winning all three of their matches. A +1 overall and an added PS+ has already been added to Capdevilla (Jockey), Pedri (Long Ball) and Olmo (Trivela)! Trivela is a bit of a let down for Olmo but the other two are brilliant additions to an already stacked set of PlayStyles.

Despite 4 of 6 3rd placed teams heading through, Croatia relied on other results to qualify, but they didn’t come. Just Spanish and Italian cards with further upgrade potential from this group.

Group C

England - Gerrard, Saka, Walker, Gomez, Pickford and Alexander-Arnold (+1), Palmer (+Chemistry)

Slovenia - Sesko (+Chemistry)

Denmark - Schmeichel (+1), Bah (+Chemistry)

Serbia - Vidic (+1), Ilic (+Chemistry)

If we’re being honest, not a single card from this group deserves to be upgraded. The four teams managed just one win between them and only scored 7 goals, it might just be the worst group in recent tournaments… All England cards aside from Palmer earned a +1 with them needing to reach at least the semi final to earn that extra PS+. One very odd upgrade is with Nemanja Vidic, Serbia only scored one goal in their 3 games but for some reason Vidic was given a +1 after their 1-1 draw with Slovenia.

Group D

Austria - Laimer and Sabitzer (+1)

Netherlands - Koeman (+1 OVR and PS+), Depay and De Jong (+1), van Dijk and Simons (+Chemistry)

France - Petit, Mendy, Konate, Saliba, Clauss, and Barcola (+1), Kolo Muani (+Chemistry)

Poland - Dudek (+1), Kiwior (+Chemistry)

On paper you’d expect France to top the group and Netherlands and Austria to fight it out for 2nd place, but it was Austria who topped Group D and placed themselves on a more comfortable side of the draw. Just like with England, France and Netherlands each need another 2 wins for the 4th PlayStyle+ which means reaching the semi finals at a minimum.

Group E

Romania - Hagi and Ratiu (+1), Dragusin (+Chemistry)

Slovakia - Skriniar (+1), Bozenik (+Chemistry)

Ukraine - Tsygankov (+1), Mudryk (+Chemistry)

Belgium - Trossard, Lukaku and Theate (+1)

It was all to play for heading into the final matchday of Group E with all four teams sitting on 3 points and being separated by just 3 goals… and it stayed the exact same to finish. Both teams played out a draw meaning the table didn’t change, and despite finishing on 4 points, Ukraine were sent packing. Wins for everyone mean +1’s to all PTG cards and Theate unlocked the clean sheet bonus in Belgium's final match

Group F

Turkiye - Kökçü (+1), Güler (+Chemistry)

Portugal - Silva, Dias (+1), Leao (+Chemistry)

Georgia - Kvaratskhelia (+1), Mikautadze (+Chemistry and +1)

Czechia - Nedved (+1)

Portugal top Group F and with 2 wins from 3 meaning +1’s are on the way for Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva. Despite coming into the tournament with minimal expectations, Georgia have impressed us all with exceptional performances from Kvaratskhelia, Mikautadze and Mamardashvilli being the stand out. Mikautadze managed to unlock the +1 having scored a goal in each game and currently sits top of the Golden Boot list!
