It’s the one we’ve all been waiting for. The Ultimate Team Deep Dive for FC 24 is finally here! There are so many new and exciting additions from women being added to Ultimate Team to Evolution cards, so we’re here to break it all down for you and give you everything you need to know ahead of the new release.

Menu and Objective Changes

Claim All Objectives

The claim all objective button is coming!! It may seem like a minor addition but it’s one that Ultimate Team fans have been after for years. We will now have the ability to claim multiple objectives at once rather than cycling through Season Progress, Objectives, Milestones and Foundations to claim each individual reward.

Hide Loan Cards in Club

Another highly requested feature since loan cards have been introduced, is the ability to hide them when completing SBC’s as they serve no purpose in them. Well EA have responded and done just that for FC 24, no more loan cards appearing when completing SBC’s.

Themed Objective Menus

Alongside the claim all button is the change in menu. Promo themed objectives will have their own menu and design which we are loving! We’ve also been given a look at the new RTTK card design!

New Walkout Animation

As with every year we were obviously expecting a new walkout animation when opening packs but we’ve seen even more in the Deep Dive. This year if there are two walkouts in your pack, they’ll both appear as the face card and will both walkout.

Squad Battles Length

Squad Battle halves have been 6 minutes ever since their debut and many have found this to be too long so for FC 24 these have been reduced down to 4 minutes each. Reducing offline gameplay by 33%!

New Icons

No new Icons were announced in the deep dive but Mia Hamm was mentioned in the Pitch Notes as either a new Icon or Hero. We would assume an Icon as we believe that all of the new heroes have been announced.

There will now only be one base version of each Icon but the eras and stories will continue to be told in promos and campaigns throughout the year as we’ve seen towards the tail end of FIFA 23.

Icon chemistry is also receiving an upgrade, each Icon will now give +1 league link to every single player! We think this is such a nice addition and will make Icons more useable in squad building.

New Heroes

19 new confirmed UCL/UWCL Hero cards were announced by EA Sports a couple of weeks ago including the addition of Women Hero cards in the way of Alex Scott, Nadine Kessler and Sonia Bompastor.

Some Ultimate Team fan favourites are also returning to the game as a Hero card. We’ll see the likes of Ramires, Wesley Sneijder and Carlos Tevez make an appearance in FC 24.

Ultimate Team Evolutions

Having the ability to upgrade your favourite players from their base rating through gameplay objectives is a feature that fans have wanted to see for a long time. We’ve finally been given this in the way of Ultimate Team Evolutions for EA FC 24. You can not only level up your Evolution players stats but also their card looks with new designs and animated backgrounds.

You can evolve as many players as you want but each one occupies an evolution slot and each objective can only be completed once.

Keep your eyes peeled for a full explanation on UT Evolutions coming soon!

Women's Football Is Coming To Ultimate Team

We’ve had women in the FIFA games for the last few years but never have they been in Ultimate Team, that changes for FC 24. England Lionesses captain Leah Williamson revealed that women will be coming to Ultimate Team in EA FC 24. Both men and women will compete on the same Ultimate Team pitch allowing us to build teams from an even wider pool of players.

Chemistry will be tweaked slightly this year with the introduction of women as you will now be able to link affiliate clubs. For example Manchester City players will all link together (Erling Haaland to Lauren Hemp etc) but only via club and not league as they are different leagues.

5 new leagues will be coming with the addition of women to UT and these are:

  • Barclays Women’s Super League (England)
  • D1 Arkema (France)
  • Google Pixes Frauen-Bundesliga (Germany)
  • Liga F (Spain)
  • NWSL (USA)

In addition, a select number of Clubs and their players from the UEFA Women’s Champions League will be available in Ultimate Team at launch even if their clubs league is not.

PlayStyles and PlayStyles+

PlayStyles look to be replacing the Traits system we’ve seen in Ultimate Team since FIFA 20. They give players unique capabilities based on real life ability that will make their way of playing more authentic. PlayStyles will be optimised by Opta data to go beyond a players base rating and bring to life the on-pitch abilities that make players special.

If your player's PlayStyle can be upgraded to a PlayStyle+ then the symbol will appear at the side of their card. This gives them an enhanced ability that reflects their in real life performance on the pitch.

That’s all we know so far about Ultimate Team in FC 24 but will keep you updated as and when we know more!
